Howard Stern is going to Sirius Sattalite Radio, effective JAnuary 1, 2006. w00t! I just got Sirius 3 weeks ago.....

Monday, October 04, 2004

Man, it's been over 2 weeks since my last update. Slacker.

So let's see, what's been happening?

I went to the Monday night game, Redskins vs. Cowboys w/ Kim and her Brother. Had fun, got wasted, Redskins lost. It really sucks too, cause I hadd a great time, regardless, but if they had won, man, that woulda been sweet. Steve Francis, who played point gaurd for Maryland a few years ago, and played for the Houston Rockets last year, Was sitting 2 rows in front of us. Kim's brother got him to sign a few things, but he was wearing a Dallas jersey. That's the worst. I let him know what I thought of that, once I was drunk enough, but who knows if he heard me or not. I mean, he was less that 4 feet away, so I am sure he did. I think we spent about $100 on beer at the stadium. Maybe not quite that much, but damn close. Anyways, thanks to Kim and her family for the tickets. I really did enjoy it. Especially thanks to Chooch, who drove our drunk asses to and from the game. Seriously man, thanks a lot for that.

Chooch plays football for a local high school. He is the QB. I have been to two of his games now, and I do enjoy watching football at a highschool level. It's interesting. Like, when they went for it on 4th and 12? with 1:30 left in the first half, on their own 30, losing by a touchdown? Man, I am sorry, but what the fuck was the coach thinking. They ended up turning the ball over, and the other team scored seconds later. They ended up losing that game, and I am convinced it was because of bad play calling like that. They were not playing that bad, hell, I thought they were playing really well there for awhile. Chooch had a real nice long throw down the sideline in the first half. Anyways, that shit was fun.

So Fable....is kinda short. I beat in in 23 hours of gametime. Short by Role Playing Game standards. It was a fun game. Extremely Easy, but fun, none the less. I am not sure if I will play this one again or not. It's on the shelf for now though.

Star Wars: Battlefront, is the title of the week for Xbox. I have not played any games online for months now, but while I was sick this weekend (I will get to that in a minute), I jumped on Xbox Live, and kicked some ass in some SW:BF. It really is cool, playing out the battles you have seen in the movies. The game is fun offline too, and I think you can get it on Xbox, PS2, and PC, so go check it out if you have one of those. It is similar to Battlefield 1942, and Battlefield Vietnam, just, Star Wars instead of WWII & Vietnam. Duh?

So I have been sick since Wednesday night. Thursday was the las day of the month, and my busiest day ever here at work. I had 8 settlements to prepare. 6 was my previous record. That day was hell. Friday was no better, still sick as a dog, and having to clean up the mess from the day before. Stayed sick all weekend, and I am finally starting to feel a little better today. Still sick though, and it sucks. Most of my co-workers are sick too, at this point. I am glad I was not the originator of this though...Rosie <_<.

I watched the Skins game over at my parents house last night, then I stuck around for dinner. It was nice.

Well, that is all for now. Later.

Fable has consumed me. I can play again in 7 short hours.....

Great game. If you have an Xbox, do yourself a favor, and go buy this game.

Monday, September 13, 2004

Fucking Monday. I can't even explain how badly I wanted to call out today. I did not sleep very much last night, I think I had it too cold in my room or something. I am very tired right now, with a little over an hour until I get off work. I am just totally unmotivated today. Sucks.

So I have Sirius Satellite Radio now. It is pretty kick-ass. I have to say, I am overly impressed so far, it is a lot better than what I had expected. I installed the receiver myself into my 4Runner, and it was very easy to do. 1/2 hour tops, putting it in. So far, I have been primarily on the Rock stations, there are more than 10 of those, all commercial free, and there has been at least 1 song, usually more, that I want to hear on. Anyways, I am totally stoked right now about that.

Speaking of being stoked: Step into Liquid is a documentary about surfing, by Dana Brown, I believe. Anyways, it is a kick ass video, especially if you watch it on your PC with Media Player 9 Series or Media Center Edition. Very high resolution, more so than a normal DVD. It just has killer visuals thru out the whole film. Breathtaking Scenery. Presented in WMV HD format. Check it out, you'll be "stoked" too.

Fable comes out tomorrow. It feels like it's been a lifetime waiting for this game. I am pretty sure, scratch that, I know my girlfriend thinks I am a total geek for being this excited about a game. I know this because she told me so last night. So be it. It's fun and it's harmless. Am I alone? Hells no! Although, maybe I am overdoing it just a bit: I have called EB Games every day for the last week to find out if the release date has been pushed up. In fact, when I am done writing this, I think they are due a call. SO yeah, I should be playing that game for about the next month or so, give or take. I really hope it is as good as I think it will be. I plan on playing thru it as myself the first time thru. (this game allows you to be good, bad, or inbetween, with every decision effecting the way other people (non-player-characters) perceive you, thus changing the game experience, and possibly the outcome of the game.) Anyways, it claims to be a totally unique experience, and I think that is why so many people are excited about it. I am tired of talking about a game I have never played though, I am just ready to play it. Tomorrow... I can't believe it actually comes out tomorrow.

Ok, so now you probably see why my girl thinks I am a total tool-bag when it comes to this shit. Fuck it, I am.

My little sister took a trip to the Laundry-mat yesterday, and we polished off all my laundry...Which is no small feet. Thanks Shell. It feels good to have clean clothes and to be able to tell what color your carpet is, I will say that.

Anyone watching Big Brother 5? I have been, all summer. I am now pulling for "Cowboy" to win it all. He is dumb as a rock, but he also seems like a good guy, with a lot of character. I think he could use the money. Anyways, good luck Cowboy.

I have been playing Doom 3, from id Software. Great game. Scary as shit. I do not like playing it alone at night. Lots of demons and shit. I have to say, it's pretty cool when something like a game scares you. That, to me, means 1 or two things. Either: 1) I am a pussy. Or 2) the developers did a great job producing this game. I tend to think the latter, but I am sure there are people out there that would disagree.

So the Redskins won their season opener against the Bucs yesterday. Can I get a w00t! w00t!? For those of you that saw this game (it was nationally televised) , how about that opening run by Clinton Portis? Holy shit. They scared me a little in the 3rd quarter, but came back to win it. Joe Gibbs has got it going on, and I think the Redskins have gained back a lot of the respect they have lost in the past few years. Even after only 1 game, people around the nation are talking. Watch out Eagles and Cowboys. The Skins are back, baby!

I went to the Sugarloaf Festival with my Mom, Sister, niece, and Neighbor this Saturday afternoon. It is a Arts & Crafts show. All in all, it was nice hanging out with the ladies, but that type of thing is definitely meant for women. I am trying to get them to go paintballing next week...I think that will be just a little bit more fun than a craft show, you know?

Well, that's all for now I guess. It seems I had a lot to say today. Good Stuff. Later.

Here is Kerry in an outfit that Kim bought for her. Damn, she really is a cute baby. Almost as cute as I was....  Posted by Hello
Friday. Can I get a hells yeah? Allright, well, let's see....Redskins play this Sunday...shit is gonna be tight. Definataly looking forward to that.

My buddy from way back, oldest friend infact, just put up a blog, so check that shit out. The link is on the left, Saggin-Nutts Blog. This dude is the funniest guy I know, hopefully, his blog will reflect that.

I have a really busy month here at work, and today I am gonna get shit-tons done. After this post, it's all business until 5:00pm.

I just picked up Doom 3 for the PC...that shit is kinda freaky. Awesome graphics. Fucking incredible, infact. Might be runnin that tonight after the bars.

I joined a fantasy football league, I got a decent squad. Notables: McNabb & Portis. I intentionally picked up some Skins too: Coles, Cooley, the kicker: Hall, and Washington defense. I guess I am banking on them having a good season. We shall see.

Aight, well, have a good weekend folks!

My neice Kerry with a CarBear i bought her this weekend. She is 7 months old now. You should see her smile.  Posted by Hello
Anyone want a Gmail invite? Email me...the link is on the left.

I took a bunch of pictures paintballing this weekend. I posted the one below, as soon as we got back. I have not had a chance to update my blog from home, and that is where i have all the pictures stored, so loook for that in the next few days. We all had a blast.

I hacked it up playing golf on Saturday. Worst. Score. Ever. Seriously.

Kim & I snagged 2 tickets to the Redskins vs. Cowboys, on Monday night, September 27th. Great news! I have been bugging her for months. Thank you Kim's parents!!! and Chooch, who so graciously declined going to allow me to go with his sister. I owe you one man.

So Fable comes out in a week...and my life as a gamer goes back into full gear.

Kim bought me a lambskin rug last night, it's huge and soft and very comfortable. I used it as a blanket last night, but she said it smells, so I won't be doing that anymore. Anyways, thanks baby, I love you.

Thursday, September 02, 2004

Big weekend coming up: My brother flys in from Cali tomorrow morning. Grandparents coming down from Annapolis, MD with some blue crabs...oh yeah! Golf on Saturday with my bro, my pops, and a family friend that none of us have seen in years. I am ready to hack it up. It would be nice to put togehter a decent round...we happen to be playing on my favorite course. Sunday, a bunch of us are going paintballing, I managed to get together a group of about 8-10 of us, hopefully, we can all get on the same team. After a long day of paintball, my parents are having a party for Labor Day, and a bunch of people from the neighborhood will be there. Beer and Food. I have Monday off...I am sure most of us do, and it couldn't have come at a better time. I will need that day to recover.

Here is a link to Elena's Motorcyle Ride through Chernobyl. It is a site with a narative and pictures of this Russian chick on a motorcycle, giving you an online tour of the surronding area. Very Cool, erie, and educational. I am absolutaly facinated by this site: http://www.kiddofspeed.com/chapter1.html

*edit*

I am told a lot of this story is fake, and here is a link to support that theory:
http://www.rwguide.com/thread_23381_chernobyl_bike_ride_is_a_hoax.html

i for one still think it is slightly possible this chick pulled this off, and there is some sort of coverup going on, but who knows. it's still interesting, none the less.

thanks for the link JC.

I posted a picture of a spider on my back porch a couple weeks ago, well, this one is on my front porch, and is 4 times the size of the other one. I would say he is about 1 inch in size. This is one scary fucker. He/She builds a new web every night, and it is a bad ass web every time. Why all the pictures of spiders? Cause they're there, ok? Posted by Hello

I just hooked my PC up to my TV and I now have a copy of Windows XP Media Center Edition. Oh Yeah! This shit is tight. Posted by Hello

From Reuters (www.reuters.co.uk):

Georgian drives with headless friend
Mon 30 August, 2004 15:47
ATLANTA (Reuters) - A Georgia man who drove home with a friend's headless body after a truck accident then went to bed while the remains dangled out the window faces charges including vehicular homicide and drunk driving, police say.
John Hutcherson, covered in blood and visibly inebriated, was arrested in bed on Sunday morning after a local resident out on a stroll observed a headless, bloody body hanging out of the 21-year-old man's truck, Cobb County police said.
Hutcherson was due to make an initial court appearance on Monday.
Police said that Hutcherson and his friend, identified as Francis Brohm, 23, were returning from a bar outside Atlanta early Sunday morning when their black 1992 Chevrolet Z-71 pickup hit a curb near a telephone pole.
Brohm, partially outside the window at the time, was decapitated by a guide wire on the telephone pole, according to police, who recovered his head at the crash site. "Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor," police said.

What the hell was this guy thinking?

busy fucking day. Golf and Poker tonight, if I ever get out of here. Looks like it is going to be a long work day.

Fable, for the Xbox, looks like it is going to be the sickest game ever made. I feel my video game addiction coming back....

here is a picture of Mike Omera, for those of you wondering what he looks like. A handsome man, I must say... Posted by Hello

*obviously, this is not mike omera, just for the record....*
Any of you all listen to the Don & Mike show? I do, there is nothing better on on the afternoons and they do make me laugh sometimes. Anyways, Mike Omera (or however you spell it) owns a bar in my hometown. He is a fucking asshole, and has no respect for the business. So, if your ever in Manassas, VA, DON'T goto Omera's, there are plenty of other good bars in town, Like K.C.'s.....

*the views expressed in this post are my own opinion, noone else's, just for the record*

I watched a movie with Kim last night: The Girl Next Door I have to say, it was a good flick. It was a bit cheesy at times, but there were enough laughs in there to make it a good movie. The acting was good too. There are some titties in there, but not a whole lot. Seriously though, it was pretty good. I bought it, and I will probably watch it again in the near future. Go pick up a copy from Blockbuster or Bestbuy and check it out for yourself. It's about a dorky kid, who is class president, and a porn star moves in next door, thru her, he gains a little popularity, but not too much. Her career comes into play, and there are some interseting characters related the porn industry. I guess it's a love story, but like I said, there are plenty of laughs.

My buddy, Tim, sent me this picture, and suggested I post it here, so here it is. What? Posted by Hello

what the fuck is going on here?: http://www.ilovebees.com
The gaming community seems to think it has something to do with the release of Halo 2. Who knows. It is a bunch of giberish to me. Apperently, there are GPS locations and times that a phone call will occour, if someone answers with the proper "codeword" a peice of the puzzle is unlocked. Weird shit. Anyways, the gaming community is freaking out...

My legs still hurt.
I've fallen down. Now, I need to get back up, brush myself off, and put the pieces back together. One by one. I need to rebuild.

Oh, and my legs hurt so bad I can barely walk. I guess from paintball, I was squating a lot thoughout the day, and I am fucking sore as shit now. Intense pain. Walking up and down stairs is a spectical.

Shit, my whole life is a sight to behold. What will he do next? Will he fuck up, or shine? Stay tuned folks...

Monday, August 23, 2004

Ahhh....Monday.

First off, sorry for not coming out on Thursday Jill. My bad. I am sorry I didn't get to see you this time around.

So I went paintballing on Sunday w/ my oldest friend, Timmy. Man, I had a blast. Paintball is shit-tons of fun. I have numorous welts on my back, side, hand and arm, and it hurt like a motherfucker when I got hit, but you forget about the pain instantly, thinking about playing the next round. The course we played on was pretty nice, and both Tim and I really liked the people running it. I definataly did not feel ripped off when the day was over. The staff was really helpfull and nice. www.skylinepaintball.com <---I think. Anyone in the D.C. area should check them out. So I think I killed about 12 people, and I died about 7 times. So I did ok... I tend to charge right in. I can't stand sitting there waiting for something to happen. I am trying to get a group together for next week. We shall see.

Any of you all watching that show Entorage on HBO? It's pretty good. If your in your early to late-twenties, you might get a kick out of it. Sunday nights at 10:30 est. I think there are only 2 episodes left in this season though. Anyways, if you see it on, stop and check it out, you may like what you see.

Well, it's almost 5pm and I am about to jet. Work went by fast today, I had my office to myself. Rosie and Jenna (2 of my co-workers) were both out today. Man, Monday's suck so bad though. By far, the worst day of the week.

This is the mural I made from bottlecaps for Kim. It was a birthday present, and it says Kimmie in Chinese. I think I am going to fill in the blue part with silver bottle caps, but I ran out. Posted by Hello

Timmy, after paintball. I have known him since I was 5. Posted by Hello

Timmy's License Plate. Read between the X's. The DMV has tried numorous times to send him new plates, but he keeps avoiding thim or sending them back. I wonder why they don't want him to have this plate?... Posted by Hello
